Our History

Optimal Phone Interpreters was launched in May 2003 after noticing an unmet need with our on-site interpreting clients. After a decade of success, we now serve over 3800 clients and help more than 1 million limited English-speaking people communicate every year.

2003

OPI is created to offer our on-site interpreting clients to provide instant over-the-phone interpreting in any language, any time. The model is developed that utilizes only domestic, bilingual, live operators differentiating us from others in the market.

2005

OPI launches a proprietary platform integrating call management software with telephony to create a seamless process with our clients and improved call answer and interpreter connect times.

2007

OPI outgrows it’s original headquarters location prompting move to state of the art facility in Lake Mary, FL.

2010

In less than three years, OPI outgrows location again, prompting the decision to move to it’s own building. In keeping with it’s commitment to Social Responsibility and green business initiatives, OPI recycles a dilapidated building in Winter Park, Florida using state of the art, energy efficient systems and engineering.

2011

OPI completes national footprint, billing active clients in all 50 states.

2012

OPI launches video interpreting offering American Sign Language, Spanish and other languages.
